Hi!
Thank you so much for taking a look at some of my work. Since you're here, I'd love to tell you a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where the love of theatre, music, dance and literature is imbedded into our culture. Growing up, I had many opportunities to experience these things as I learned to find my place in the world. Ultimately, I realized I belonged in the theatre industry, where I would soon discover my passion for lighting design. I pursued this passion, and some of my other theatre related interests, at Loyola University New Orleans, where I completed my bachelors of theatre arts. While in New Orleans, I had the pleasure to work with many companies, such as Southern Rep Theatre, The Nola Project, LePetit Theatre, and Jefferson Performing Arts, amongst others. I was also privileged to be brought back to Loyola University for various projects.
My goals as a theatre professional span farther than just lighting design, however. I want to help diversify our industry and produce stories that speak to/about individuals like me; immigrants, people of color, and individuals with rich cultures that are often misinterpreted, sidelined, or ignored altogether. As a proud Hispanic man and member of the theatre community, I know our industry has amazing potential to expand our perspectives, our repertoires, and our audiences.

Quiero darle muchas gracias por tomar un momento para ver algunas de las producciones en las que he tenido el gran privilegio de trabajar. Me encantaría darle la oportunidad para conocerme. Me crie en Puerto Rico, donde el amor por el teatro, la música, la danza y la literatura es tanto parte de nuestra historia como de nuestra cultura. Creciendo en Puerto Rico tuve la oportunidad de experimentar con estas y otras formas de expresión artística. De esta forma llegue a entender que mi contribución a mi comunidad seria a travez del teatro. Aquí encontré my pasión para el diseño de luces, y durante my carrera universitaria, en la Universidad de Loyola en New Orleans, hice todo lo posible para aumentar mi conocimiento del arte, y expander mis talentos y habilidades como diseñador. En New Orleans tuve el privilegio de trabajar como diseñador, director técnico, programador y más para varias compañías de Teatro, como Southern Rep Theatre, The Nola Project, LePetit Theatre, y Jefferson Performing Arts. Tuve también el honor de regresar a la Universidad de Loyola para varias producciones y eventos.
Sin embargo, mis objetivos como profesional del teatro van más allá del diseño de iluminación. Quiero ayudar a diversificar nuestra industria y producir historias que hablen sobre personas como yo; inmigrantes, personas de color e individuos con culturas ricas que a menudo son malinterpretadas, marginadas o ignoradas por completo. Como hombre hispano, con tanto orgullo en mi latinidad y mi cultura, y miembro de una comunidad teatral que abarca tiempo y espacio, sé que nuestra industria tiene un potencial increíble para expandir nuestras perspectivas, nuestros repertorios y nuestro público.
